Reading books is a positive activity to recharge your mind while expanding your knowledge at once. Motivational readings will show you that you are not the only one struggling to find a job out there. Invest in learning
Maybe the reason why you are not hired is simply because you do not have the skills or expertise that the companies needed. That being said, all you have to do is filling the skill-gap by investing more in learning. You do not have to go back to school and spend more money to pursue higher education. Nowadays, the internet has made it easier if you want to learn new skills independently.
Explore new opportunities
Don’t worry, as Japanese proverb says, “Fall seven times, stand up eight!” When one opportunity closes, another opens! Different companies are always recruiting and all you need to do is applying for them. When you apply to several companies but none seems interested in hiring you, your struggle should not end here as you always try the other chances.
Never say ‘later’
Check your commitment to finding a job. When your friend inform you about a job opening that suits your interests, have you ever responded, “Thanks, I will check it out later”? Well, if you do, then you have to change this attitude. You should keep in mind that staying calm during a job hunt does not necessarily mean that you can be plain lazy.
